Avon Lax Families!

Several of you have been asking about fall lacrosse and this year has been a real challenge for team sports! We have some GOOD NEWS and wanted to write out to you with an update this morning!

As you may know, ACSC has closed community access to all of their facilities until further notice. This means that the field spaces at PIne Tree and AHS are unavailable to us. In our search for local field space, we determined that most of the area churches have committed their open areas to local soccer programs. In addition, several spring sports slid to late summer/  fall - which caused scheduling conflicts with several of our youth players and coaches that play/ coach multiple sports.

Luckily, our friends at Avon Parks came to the rescue and offered us the lower area of Avon-Washington Township Park for practices! 

Fall Lacrosse is BACK, folks!

However...based on the survey feedback that we received from you, Avon Lacrosse will only be offering fall lacrosse for 14U and High School players this season. As soon as things settle back down a bit, and ACSC allows us to utilize the area facilities again, we will put together a plan to continue sharing lacrosse with our younger players! 

The details for our 14U/ HS Fall programs are below:

• This season will run from mid-August to mid-October.
• The commitment is 2 practices/ week and participation in 2 fall tournaments
  • 9/27 - BearPaw: Great Midwest Shootout @ Eagle Creek Park (Fee is per team ~$65/ player)
  • 10/4 - Empire Fall Classic @ Grand Park (Fee is $60/ player)
• While the fall season will be free of charge, the tournament fees will be required to participate.
• If you are a middle school/ high school player and would like to participate this fall, please register ASAP!
