Avon Fall Lacrosse Update

Hello Avon Lacrosse Families!

The fall has always posed a scheduling challenge for us as several of our spring lacrosse players are multi-sport athletes, active in other fall sports, and are unable to attend all our scheduled weekly practices. Unfortunately, we were unable to register as many players as needed to facilitate our proposed Sunday fall scrimmages. In an effort to continue the growth of lacrosse in our community and accommodate the fall schedules of our multi-sport athletes, the unified board has voted to change our fall lacrosse offerings.

• The board has voted to fully fund the fall lacrosse program from the operating budget, making the fall rec season free for all registrants! This applies to all playes from 8U through high school!

• Instead of one weekly practice and a weekend scrimmage, players will get two weekly practices. These practices will be an open-practice format, focusing on lacrosse fundamentals while encouraging skill development and team building. Any player that has completed the free online registration and has signed our waivers can attend. We also encourage our players to invite their friends to attend a practice!

• All practices this fall will be at Pine Tree Elementary - 7866 E County Rd 100 S, Avon, IN 46123

• Practice schedules:
Tuesdays and Thursdays (6-7:30) – Girls 10U/ 12U/ 14U/ HS Girls
Wednesday (6-7:30) and Sundays (2-3:30) – Boys 10U/ 12U/ 14U/ HS Boys
Sunday (1:00-2:00) – 8U Co-Ed
